This is a well known children`s dance game "Me lähme rukist lõikama" (We `re going rye-harvesting).
There must be an uneven number of players. Pairs stand in a circle holding hands. The one without a partner stands in the middle of the circle.
1.When the music starts players start walking clockwise, the person in the middle counter-clockwise. All the players are singing at the same time.
2.Everyone starts searching for a new partner. The one who stays alone is the next to stay in the middle. ( repeat)
Me lähme rukist lõikama.
Kes hakkab vihke köitma?
Kas, armas sõber, tahad sa
ka meie seltsi heita?
Mina otsin ja sina otsid,
igaüks otsib oma.
Mina leidsin ja sina leidsid.
Kes hooletu jääb ilma.
(We are going rye-harvesting.
Who is going to make sheaves of rye?
Dear friend, would you like to join us?
I`m searching and you are searching.
Everyone is searching.
I have found and you have found.
The careless is lonely.)
